Sandford Street stop update

Canberra’s 14th light rail stop is fast-approaching its final stages of construction, and the CMET team will soon begin the testing and commissioning phase of the project. This involves quality testing to ensure all systems are operating safely and effectively prior to the stop being open for passengers.

While the stop may look ready-to-go, there is still work to be done and the stop remains a construction zone, with pedestrian detours around the southern end of the Sandford Street/Flemington Road and Morisset Road intersection still in place.

Pedestrians and customers are reminded to pay attention and stay alert. Use the Transport Canberra journey planner to plan your trip, and stay up-to-date with the project at bit.ly/SandfordStreetStop
