School visits to the depot a hit!

Canberra Grammar School (CGS) visited the CMET Depot to explore how the LRVs work and to learn how to stay safe when travelling on and around the Light Rail Network. Customer Service Officers taught them all about the importance of holding Mum & Dad’s hand when on board, and how the pantograph carries electricity to the LRVs from the overhead wires.

The CGS Year 1 students loved exploring on-board the LRVs and especially enjoyed being able to sit in the driver’s cab & ring the bell!

Depot tours are a great way for kids to learn all about Light Rail safety, and to experience the LRVs in a fun and safe environment.
