The Rotary Club of Aurora Gungahlin Donates Lifesaving Defibrillators to Light Rail Fleet

This month is Shocktober, a campaign to help raise awareness about the importance of learning CPR and how to use a defibrillator. Sudden cardiac arrest can happen without warning, and knowing how to respond quickly can save lives.

We’re pleased to announce that the Rotary Club of Aurora Gungahlin has generously donated five more defibrillators for our expanding light rail vehicle (LRV) fleet. These portable units are located securely in the driver’s cabin of each LRV, with staff ready to use should urgent medical assistance be required. Passengers on board can press any of the ten-emergency help points on the LRV to access a defibrillator. These portable units can assist with survival rates in a cardiac arrest until the arrival of the ACT Ambulance Service

We are proud to partner with the Rotary Club of Aurora Gungahlin, if you are interested in learning more about other community led projects from the Rotary Club of Aurora Gungahlin, click here: Gungahlin Rotary Aurora Club
