Celebrating International Day of People with Disability 2024

For the second year in a row, CMET is proudly marking International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) in a meaningful way. This year, we have partnered with local students and community group members who not only use the light rail but also live with disabilities. Together, they have recorded a series of heartfelt safety and awareness PA announcements that highlight the importance of inclusion, accessibility, and safety for everyone.

These messages serve as a powerful reminder of the incredible contributions people with disabilities make to our community. By sharing their voices across our network, we aim to foster greater understanding and promote a more inclusive public transport experience for all. We are honoured to be part of this initiative and to help amplify the voices of those advocating for a safer and more accessible future.
